1. What cookies are

A cookie is a small piece of data that a website asks your browser to store on your device. When you return to the site, the browser sends the cookie back so the site can recognise your previous choices.

Cookies are not executable programs and cannot read other files on your device. On this site they are used only to remember your consent preferences — we do not use them for advertising or for tracking your behaviour across other websites.

2. Cookies we use

Essential cookies

These are required for the site to function. They cannot be disabled. On this site, the only essential storage is the cookieConsent key in your browser's localStorage, which records whether you have accepted or rejected optional cookies. Without it, the consent banner would reappear on every page load.

Analytics cookies

If you accept analytics cookies, we may use a service such as Google Analytics to understand which pages are visited and how visitors navigate the site. This helps us improve the content and structure. Analytics cookies are only set with your consent.

Marketing cookies

Marketing cookies allow advertising platforms to show you relevant content on other websites. We currently do not run advertising campaigns, but this toggle is provided for completeness and in the event we do so in future. These cookies are only set with your consent.

Preference cookies

Preference cookies remember settings such as language or region. We do not currently use preference cookies beyond the essential consent record, but this toggle allows you to opt in or out if we introduce them.

3. Third-party cookies

If analytics or marketing cookies are enabled, the following third-party services may set cookies:

Google Analytics (analytics)
Google Ads / Google Tag Manager (marketing, if campaigns run)
Meta Pixel (marketing, if campaigns run)
Microsoft Advertising / Bing (marketing, if campaigns run)

These services have their own privacy policies. We are not responsible for cookies set by third parties.

4. Cookie duration

Session cookies: deleted when you close your browser. We do not currently use session cookies.
Persistent cookies: remain until their expiry date or until you delete them. Google Analytics cookies typically expire after 2 years. Our consent record in localStorage has no set expiry and persists until you clear your browser storage or change your preferences here.

6. Managing cookies in your browser

You can also manage cookies directly in your browser settings. Note that blocking all cookies may affect site functionality.

Google Chrome

Open Chrome and click the three-dot menu (⋮) at the top right.
Select Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data.
Choose your preferred level or click See all site data and permissions to delete specific cookies.

Mozilla Firefox

Open Firefox and click the hamburger menu (☰) at the top right.
Select Settings → Privacy & Security.
Under Cookies and Site Data, click Manage Data to view or delete cookies by site.

Apple Safari

Open Safari and go to Safari → Preferences (macOS) or Settings (iOS).
Select the Privacy tab.
Click Manage Website Data to view and remove cookies for specific sites.

Microsoft Edge

Open Edge and click the three-dot menu (⋯) at the top right.
Select Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Cookies and site data.
Use See all cookies and site data to search for and delete specific cookies.

Mobile browsers: on Android and iOS, cookie settings are typically found under the browser's Settings or Privacy menu. The location varies by browser version.

7. Your rights and contact

You can withdraw your consent to optional cookies at any time by using the toggles in Section 5 above or by clearing your browser storage. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything that happened before you withdrew it.

Disabling analytics or marketing cookies does not affect your ability to use this site. The only functional consequence of refusing all cookies is that the consent banner will reappear on your next visit.
